What is SeeFace?

SeeFace World is a free online multiplayer ARG you walk in your browser.

SeeFace World lives at seeface.world. You arrive in front of a black cube. Spin it. Every face hides a number, and after a few spins the gate opens and you fall into the labyrinth: an endless world that other people are walking at the same moment.

It runs on a phone or a computer with nothing to install. It is made by seeface1, the artist behind @seeface1 on Instagram.

SeeFace in short

Inside the labyrinth

• Walk with strangers. Real people wear a green ● live mark; the residents (◇) are the labyrinth's own crowd, always marked and counted apart. Talk by voice (it turns into text) or type, send emoji, meet up from the map.
• Find things. Artifacts lie in the corridors: coins, crowns, diamonds, masks. Your best three float around you for everyone to see.
• Lose yourself. Fields, forests, a sea you can dive in, mountains, a castle, a town with ghosts in the windows, a power station full of lightning, a café with jazz, a supermarket, Las Vegas, secret labs.
• Own land. Earn sun coins (☉) by playing, buy a room near the gate or far out, and build it by simply describing what you want to the Architect.
• See art. Exhibitions, artist worlds and rooms made by the Architects of SeeFace World.

Is SeeFace an ARG?

Yes: it is the seeface1 ARG, an online multiplayer alternate reality game. It starts on Instagram at @seeface1 and continues here, in the world. The clues run across the world and the real internet: a code from @seeface1 opens the cube, sealed doors hide secret places, a corporation called Prime Sun leaves traces, and players take cases at the Energy Detective Bureau.

Who makes SeeFace?

What is SeeFace 1 (seeface1)?

How do I get past the cube?

Keep spinning; the gate opens after a handful of spins. Followers of @seeface1 know a code that opens it at once.

Is everyone I meet in SeeFace World a real person?

No. Many walkers are residents: characters of the labyrinth (some with a brain written by AI) who chat the way people do: some never answer, some type with mistakes, some only send emoji. Every resident wears the ◇ mark, residents are never counted in the online number, and if you sincerely ask, they tell you they are not a person. Real people wear a green ● live mark. A few leaks walk unmarked; they never claim to be human either, and a pocket mirror from the supermarket shows anyone for what they are.

Is SeeFace the same as VSeeFace?

No. VSeeFace is an unrelated face-tracking app for VTubers. SeeFace World is the 3D world at seeface.world.
